BUYA Board of Directors

President: Lindi Sabloff (she/her/hers)
Lindi was the Executive Director of PADA (Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance) from 2006 to 2009. She also served as President of the Philadelphia High School Ultimate Education League (PHUEL) Board, helping grow the organization to 32 teams. She began coaching youth ultimate in 2008 and founded the female-matching team at Radnor High School. Lindi moved to the Bay Area in 2013 and helped found Cali Roll; she was also on the coaching staff of Berkeley HS for several years. She has helped transform Cali Roll into a competitive traveling team while continuing to foster its inclusiveness. Her primary focus is building individual skills and sewing them into the fabric of a team. During her tenure as a player she was D-line captain of Green Means Go and is a past Masters champion with Loose Cannon.
Puma joined the Cali Roll coaching team in 2017 and is one of BUYA’s founding members. After a collegiate track career, she began playing ultimate frisbee while living and teaching in the Dominican Republic. Puma moved to the Bay Area to attend graduate school, where she won a college national championship as a member of Stanford Superfly. She currently plays on Nightlock in the Women’s Club Division, and has also played on Polar Bears and LOL. Outside of ultimate frisbee, Puma works in K-12 education finance and administration. She is an avid soccer fan. She enjoys traveling, reading, and hanging out with her cat.

Abby Williams
(she/her/hers)
Abby was exposed to ultimate in high school (back in the very early ‘80s!) but doesn’t have any memory of it. She does remember being introduced to ultimate and playing in the WAFC league in Washington, DC in the 1990s. After moving to California she joined a pick up game and the rest is history. Abby has since played in various BADA leagues over the years and is a member of the Mother Huckers. Her 16-year-old daughter plays on her high school team and with Belly of the Beast (BUYA’s U17 girls team) WHICH WON THEIR DIVISION AT YCCS IN 2024!!!! In her non-frisbee time, Abby is a social worker in the Child Welfare field.

Noemi Hollander
(she/her/hers)
Noemi’s first real game of ultimate frisbee ended with bed rest and preterm labor. Today, she is primarily a spectator and cowbell ringer but is learning with the Mother Huckers as a practice player. Her son (who was born safely a few weeks later) would pick the disc back up a decade or so later and go on to play for Kore, EC-HUC, and Aftershock. Her daughter joined in the fun both as a player and a coach (Belly of the Beast) and has competed on EC-HUC, GO (State Champs!), Cali Roll, California Current, and is currently playing on Clearcut after winning both gold and spirit with Team USA (Mixed) at the World Junior Ultimate Championships. Outside of frisbee, Noemi enjoys music, writing, and foraging for wild mushrooms. She volunteers for a few different educational organizations and her business card reads “Change Accelerator.”
